Common Serverless Repository

Overview

In Storepick project Serverless is being used as the tool to deploy Infrastructure as code. More recently Storepick project has been using the Lambdas and Step functions in AWS to orchestrate and run the python code.

This repository will store the AWS utilities like lambdas which are used by multiple projects/repositories within Storepick. It will house the common infrastructure bits which can be deployed by Serverless.

The common code here can be accessed by other Repositories in primarily 2 ways:

  1. By using them in their own application as part of their main processing e.g. in Step functions.

  2. Event based i.e. by posting in any message/notification queues which will in turn trigger the code deployed as part of this repo. Currently SNS topics are being used which have been mentioned in respective code components

In case of usage 1 you will find reference of the code in the serverless.yml file of consuming repos

Currently this repo has 2 lambdas which are functional and used by the applications.

Lambda Layer for DynamoDB encryption is not being used from this repo due to some technical issues. It is being used from pymorri instead.
